Bio
Chris is based in Winnipeg, MB, Canada and grew up surrounded by classical music and with a love for video games and their emotional storytelling. Over the years, he learned and performed on numerous instruments: piano, violin, Renaissance recorder, French horn, and pipe organ. He took private lessons in music history, theory, and composition, and practiced compsoing and arranging for ensembles.
Later, he got involved with the Winnipeg Game Dev community, regularly participating in local and online game jams. Projects include solo and collaborative efforts, with Chris' strengths in areas of text adventures, retro music, and pixel art. Lately he is learning Godot and exploring making low poly 3D games. But composing and arranging for video games and classical music settings remains an enduring passion.
Between his busy schedule working in environmental data management and numerous other hobbies, Chris is always looking for new opportunities (and more time) to make cool stuff!
Updates
- 2026-02-17: Created this professional portfolio website! And looking forward to Winnipeg Game Jam 2026 this weekend. I'll have a booth for "The Prairie House" and the main theme from Furball is getting performed. Then I'm planning to make something featuring 3D envioronments and music.

Renaissance Music for GAME BOY
Renaissance music... for Game Boy! An album of 12 tracks, arranged for GameBoy, performed via the chiptune tracker Furnace.
The Prairie House
A student finishes their prairie field work but has to spend the night alone at an old house. I wrote the story and coded the game, using Adventureon. The art and music were done by Hadd, a differnet local skilled artist =) for the Spring Thing 2022 Jam and a local Winnipeg Slow Jam March 2022.
Submerged Gallery
Experience submechanophobia images with short captions and audio, in this retro virtual gallery. The gallery includes 10 music tracks, featuring the retro MT-32 and field recordings. The gallery was programmed using Adventuron and the art created via photo manipulation.
Snowshoe Adventure
Explore winter ecosystems and collect items from nature, all in a classic text adventure game environment. I wrote the story and coded the game using Adventureon, composed a background music loop, and produced the art via photo manipulation.
Tenebris Ludum Musica
Dark Game Music... each of the 8 tracks is inspired by a horror video game. Explores a variety of styles, using synths, VSTs, environmental sounds, and audio editing.
Furball
Use your racket to prevent this reckless furball from losing its nine lives by volleying it to safety. I created the music and sound effects for this, as my first ever game jam (the game itself was created in partnership with other skilled developers and artists).
Advent Medley
A medley of four advent-themed hymns for: recorder quintet (SATB), trumpet trio, or brass trio (Tr,Hn,Tb). The recorder quintet is a recording of my family, whereas the trumpet and brass versions were performed with VST instruments. The sheet music is available with album purchase on bandcamp (or on my musescore).
